Butterscotch Cookies with Burnt Butter Icing

1/2 c butter
1 1/2 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 c flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c sour cream
1 c walnuts if desired

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Chill dough for a couple of hours and bake for 8-10min at 375 degrees. Cool and frost.

Frosting
Melt 6 Tbsp butter over medium heat and cook until golden brown. Cool. Mix in 2 cups powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. Add 2-3 Tbsp water a little at a time until spreading consistency.
